Look how pretty Ulupalakua is after a few rains. It became so green.
We saw wild turkeys, baby lambs, shorn sheep, goats and lots of trees at Maui’s Winery, one of our favorite places to just linger and feel a touch of old Maui at Ulupalakua Ranch.
Lovely Ulupalakua… The cloud so low you can barely see Lanai…

There was a nice steady rain today up-country Maui. My garden loved the soft raindrops and delightful moisture.
I was preparing to harvest enough lettuce for fifty people to enjoy at Kupu Maui tomorrow.
My zinnias are blooming.
Papayas are happening.
Sunflowers about to open…

Coffee is what’s growing at Greg and Susy Stille’s two acre farm, among other things like cacao, ice cream bean, Nitrogen fixing peanut, daikon, Ma’o, alyssum, wild sweet potatoes, papaya, bananas, Plumerias and hibiscus.
Their palms are amazingly beautiful.
These are Susy’s new raised beds that Greg designed and made.

It was gorgeous Maui day…
At Kaanapali Coffee Estate
It’s an amazing five hundred acres of coffee seven minutes from the shore.
I love to hang out up there in the coffee.
Take a drive North from Kaanapali past the Sugar Cane Train to the entrance of Kaanapali Farms and head Mauka (towards the mountains)

Here’s the latest photos of my Maui Garden. Bibb lettuce is amazing.
Zinnias and yellow cosmos coming along nicely…
These are the healthiest zinnias I’ve ever planted. They are quite close together. I guess they like each other.
Can’t wait to see them bloom.

Hi everyone,
Here’s some photos of my garden in progress. There’s going to be tons of zinnias in red, purple and pinks. Cosmos are mixed in here with lettuces and basil.
Bush beans are so prolific. We’ll be picking soon.
Today I transplanted Roma tomato plants into the patch.
It’s a bit thick but I think it’s going to thrive.I’ll be thinning the lettuce soon and basils, too. Anyone want tomato plants? Bibb lettuce?
My Maui friends who are planting, let me know so I can give you some thinnings for your garden.

Tomorrow we depart for Ka’anapali. Let the “culinary experience” begin… Farm Tour is Saturday morning 9-12. Can’t wait to see everyone there!
