We had an incredible Maui TweetUp at AK’s Restaurant. 1237 Lower Main St. Wailuku, Maui. The luncheon was great and reasonably priced. We filled the restaurant with Twitter friends and made valuable new contacts. @roxannedarling and @shanewere on Maui working with @PeterLiu47 and Liza @AMauiBlog and other bloggers on #Malama Maui which includes a series of events which started at Ulupalakua Ranch and continues at the Ritz-Karlton Kapalua for Celebration of The Arts and The Maui Ag Festival on Saturday April 3, 2010. It’s all about sustainable living on Maui and caring for the land and the people. Follow their blogs for all the details and events. @tommyrusso publisher of MauiTime, Judi @tikitales author of When I am Quiet on Maui and other children’s books were there. Judi shared some of her creations. @daniakatzsales director of Edible Hawaiian Islands magazinesaid it was her first Tweetup! She loved it. Dania will have a booth at the Maui Ag Festival. The get togethers with so many entrepreneurs is stimulating, inspiring, exciting and so much fun. @DJSMOOK is loved by all. I met filmmakers, other designers like myself, financial advisor and start up business manager @GraceDelivers a branding expert and Ian Blakesleecreativity coach. So pretty in red.This was my first TweetUP and it was very exciting to meet so many people.We met at The Queen Ka`ahumanu Shopping Center Food Court on Maui. A great location to meet. I love our mall. It is the only open air yet covered mall I know. So refreshing and a view of the Harbor and West Maui Mountains too. We were next to the Japanese Edo Restaurant. Everyone shared businesscards and I gave out some of my books and t-shirts.
We all introduced ourselves and @djsmooks arrived last. He is the one with the “Get Some ” T-shirt. Everyone had an interesting background. Then I learned that Judi Riley author of “When I Am Quiet On Maui” and “When I Am Quiet On Oahu” arrived after most of us had gone. So, Liza said a total of 17 of us had made this #MauiTweetup.
This couple Cindy and Kris @MauiByPhoto were celebrating their anniversary.
